Equestrians' Choice Laundry Service (ECLS) is your solution to the age-old problem of "I wish I had more time and money to devote to my horse."  I'm sure many of you have either hosed your horse's blanket off at the car wash or slipped into the laundromat at midnight.  Or, out of total frustration, you tossed it into the trash instead.  Yes, the first two options may have saved you money while the third saved you time...or did they?  Let's discuss each of these methods and then I'm sure you'll see why...Equestrians' Choice is the BEST choice!

Car Wash Method:  In addition to the time and gas used traveling to and from the car wash, you spend several dollars and significant time hosing each blanket.  This method does very little to eliminate odor, bacteria and soils embedded in the fibers.  Also, the car wash soap, if you choose to use it, is a harsh chemical intended to remove road grime, bugs and tar - not manure, grass and urine.

Laundromat Method:  You still spend time and gas traveling to the facility, as well as time and money actually washing your blankets.  Of course, this is provided you are even allowed to use the machines or you sneak in late at night.  Many people use those machines daily to wash their clothing and linens.  Unless you wipe and vacuum the machine after use, it is nearly impossible to remove all the horsehair.  Not everyone is a horse lover; some people are highly allergic in fact.  Those folks deserve your consideration.

Trash Method:  Quick & easy, but not cheap.  This method requires the purchase of a brand new blanket.  If you're lucky, the new one will fit your horse the first time you place it on him.  If your blanket is not too heavily damaged, it is much less expensive to repair than to purchase new.  If your blanket is too far gone, you can still give it to us to recycle.  Chances are much of the fabric, hardware and webbing can be salvaged for use in refurbishing blankets given to us as donations to the Second Chance Equine Association.
