WHOA!!!
Don't toss that horse blanket in the trash! Put it to good use instead.
ECLS will gladly recycle old, badly torn blankets to keep them out of
landfills. By salvaging usable hardware, material & webbing from "throw-away" blankets, we can refurbish
moderately damaged blankets for donation to Second Chance Equine Association and other local horse rescues. What a great opportunity
to help an animal and the environment too!
Many of the horses rescued by agencies such as SCEA are old, ill, weak,
starved or injured. A clean, warm blanket - along with love and excellent care given by rescue staff - can help
these beautiful creatures through the winter. You donate your old blankets; we'll donate our service. Together
we can help make the lives of these rescued horses a bit more comfortable.

donated blankets are first evaluated for repairability. Blankets that are not too badly damaged are laundered,
repaired and delivered directly to the rescue agency. Blankets that are beyond repair will be recycled for use in repairing
other donated blankets. If a receipt for your donation is required for tax purposes, please indicate as such and make
sure we have your full name & address. Receipts will be obtained directly from the non-profit rescue agency.**
